About Us

The First Nations Forestry Council is now in its 8th year of business working as a non-profit society supporting all First Nations in their forestry activities. Based on direction from communities in regional dialogue sessions, Action Plans provide the mandate for the FNFC.

In 2006, the First Nations Forestry Council conducted a series of regional dialogue sessions with BC First Nations. These dialogue session provided the FNFC with its vision, mission, and governance structure, and also resulted in a number of recommendations and action items which make up the BC First Nations Forestry & Land Stewardship Action Plan which compliments the First Nations Mountain Pine Beetle Action Plan and provides direction to the FNFC from our communities.
