Best Practices

In response to the MPB epidemic, many First Nations in British Columbia (BC) are employing effective strategies and actions to meet their particular community MPB needs.

Based on the Phase II MPB Impact Assessment led by the FNFC, an inventory of best practices was collected by the COMMUNITY FUTURES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF THE CENTRAL INTERIOR FIRST NATIONS (CFDC of CIFN) in 2007 and 2008.

The detailed inventory provided overviews of individual MPB-affected First Nations community’s responses to managing the infestation. This handbook is a synthesis of the Phase II MPB Impact Assessment Best Practices inventory.
